I have to admit that in the past I always kind off disliked gyms. But that was before great | Health and Performance Club and I got introduced to one another. 

THE CLUB
When I first walked in this club I immediately noticed something very unlike the usual gyms I’ve been to: it smelled like flowers. Now that’s a good start! I got my first intake with their nutrition expert: Benjamin. He was really helpful and taught me a few tricks I didn’t came up with myself. We discussed my goals, measured my body fat (I’m at 16,6%) and talked about my activity in daily life. After that I got a quick tour through the gym, which included a perfectly styled dressing room (including hairdryer, shampoos and towels), a steam room, a traditional and infrared sauna and a cool off room.

THE TRAINING
After my intake it was time to do an insane legworkout with one of their personal trainers Romeo. This was one of the best training sessions I’ve ever had. He made me push harder and do better then I normally would (I was sweating like crazy haha). After my workout it was time to schedule another workout with him, where we would focus on my upper body. I noticed that all of their fitness equipment is top of the line and has all kinds of modern features (I mean, you can play angry birds on the treadmill, who has that)!

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning they also offer these High Intensity Interval Trainings (HITT). I have done two of them already and I can’t go without them now. They are already making me stronger and leaner and I really believe they are the best way to kickstart the day!

THE EXPERIENCE
What struck me the most is how skilled these trainers are. Even when I did my workouts one my own, they still noticed me and helped me do my sets better by giving some advice in how I carried out a certain exercise. When I had questions there was always a trainer there to answer them. I really think this is very important to help prevent injuries. Everyone, including the ladies behind the reception, is really nice and is there to help you. What’s also a big plus is that you can get some very delicious protein shakes, vegetable juices and other great foods afterwards.
