When a foodie visits Brussels

When a foodie visits Brussels

Brussels actually felt a bit like Paris. And when I’m in Paris I eat brioche, pain avec beurre et croissants. So that’s what I did in Brussels too. Lots of it!

As some of you might know by following me on Instagram I usually eat very healthy, think: lots of greens, fruits and legumes. Nourishing foods are on top of my list. I’m not really a dairy and bread fan so you won’t catch me eating that a lot. BUT! I also believe in balance, so when I’m on a holiday I don’t mind the extra carbs, dairy and sugar. I’m actually enjoying it! So when I was in Brussels for two days I visited great food-spots to indulge in luscious foods. These spots were actually so amazing I just had to share them with you all. So here’s my very short list of places to be! Have you got any suggestions to make the list longer? Please let me know, because I will be back there in about a week  and I would love to visit them :)!

1. Métropole Hotel (breakfast)

We stayed at the Métropole hotel for one night and being that fancy of a hotel we just had to get breakfast there in the morning. They have a very grand breakfast buffet with something for everyone. Yum!

2. Le Pain Quotidien (lunch)

Ok. We have this place in Amsterdam too, but their locations in Belgium just always taste so much better! Whenever I’m in Antwerp this is my go-to place. So when I arrived -all hungry and all- in Brussels this was the first place I rushed too. They have great food at a great price.

3. La Quincaillerie (dinner)

This is the place to be if you love fish ánd are looking for a great setting. The food is fresh, the fries are crunchy (as you would expect from being in Belgium) and the mayonaise taste french! I enjoyed some mussels in white wine and even opted for some tart tatin for dessert.
