During our visit to Lisbon we stayed at Casa Amora. A wonderful guest house/ bed & breakfast that stole my heart the moment I walked in. When I found these great pictures of Casa Amora on my camera’s memory-card I decided I really wanted to share them with you all! Hope you love them as much as I do.
The manager at Casa Amora is Juan. When checking in I immediately noticed how helpful he was in marking down the places to visit on the map and also marking the spots where you should definitely not go. He explained what a guesthouse is, something I wasn’t familiar with before, but it is similar to a bed & breakfast, with other residents in the same house and no permanent staff. Casa Amora was one of the coziest, most romantic places we’d ever been too. It has some smaller and some bigger rooms, depending on what you booked. We had this gorgeous room with a big, soft bed, a nice shower and a closet where we could hang out (..mostly my) our clothes.
My favorite thing during my travels is breakfast, mostly because you don’t have to prepare it yourself and because it’s the most relaxing thing to do. Breakfast at Casa Amora did not disappoint one bit. It might even be one of the best ones I had! Starting with fresh juices, such as watermelon & mint or lime & orange felt like a joy everyday. Maria, the housekeeper, made it extra special by also preparing us a little surprise every morning. One day we had banana-chocolate cake, the other day fresh pastel de nata, some pear-pie and even freshly baked breakfast muffins and rice pudding. She made it something to look forward too. Also the breakfast includes a fine selection of cheeses, bread, yogurts, cereals and meat, so you can choose whatever you feel like eating that day. Yum!
Oh. Enough with all the talking. Hope you like the pictures below. They were all shot by …me! I’m really trying to improve my photography skills. So I would love to know what you think of them! ♥
Let me know what you think of this post ok? Always love to know you guys’ opinions.
