If you liked the first part of this article, you’re going to LOVE this second set of tricks and tips to get more Instagram followers. In the first article I explained how I got from 10k to almost 30k followers in just two months. Today I’m giving away more tips to get more Instagram followers fast.
1. Post at the right time
There are rules when it comes to posting on social media. My morning posts always get the most likes and reactions. So I recommend you to always post something after waking up. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a picture you just took, but it can also be a picture that inspires you.
2. Post the right content
I can be madly in love with a inspirational picture of the city or the park, but somehow you guys seem to like my selfies and food posts the most. I think that’s because selfies are more personal and the same goes for food-pics. Both are always taken on the spot and people notice that :). But if you’re thinking about just posting selfies now, please don’t. The key is also in variation. If you check out someones feed and all they post are pictures of themselves chances are that you think it looks cluttered instead of inspirational. And isn’t Instagram all about getting inspired?
I usually post about three Instagram pics a day. I choose my moments wisely: one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Sometimes I post less, but never more then three unless I’m really excited and can’t help but share them with you all. The one thing I really hate is when people post multiple pics in the same hour. For me that’s spam and I usually unfollow right then and there.
4. Be active
You are not on social media to be ‘discovered’. You can wait years for your platforms to grow. Follow people you find interesting and engage with people. Give comments on random pictures you think are pretty and just let people know you are there too.
5. Complete your bio
If you want to make a business out of what you’re doing -or you just wan’t to meet new friends, you really want them to be able to find out who you are in those short seconds they might visit your profile. Just put in you bio what you stand for and maybe even put in a call to action (like your e-mail) or notify them you are also online on other social channels. Who knows, people might reach out to you.
6. Use apps
I love to create a certain ‘mood’ through all the pics I post. In order to do so I always use the same filters for about nine pictures in a row. It creates a certain calmness that I really love. It also enhances your pictures, making them look even prettier! But there aren’t just apps for filters, there are a bunch of apps that can improve your blogging skills (more on this topic soon). Apps I really like: Evernote, VSCO, Afterlight, TagsForLikes or Facetune.
7. Use the right hashtags
I’ve said it in my previous post and I’ll say it again: use the right hashtags. A lot of people think they are not ‘cool’ or you shouldn’t ‘need’ them, but chances are you’re trying to build a business and if you want your business to grow you want people to be able to find you online. Just make sure you use the right ones (I’ll be doing a post on that topic soon) that are relevant for your niche. I always use the tags: #fashionblogger and #ootd and some similar ones, because they fit my market.
8. Create an original hashtag
Look under #radishtowear and you’ll come across pictures made by me or pictures that are linked to me. This makes it easier to be found :).
Hope these tips work out for you too! Let me know what you think of them. Hugs!
