Recipe: Chai Tea Latte

Chai, Chai tea Latte, Drink, non coffee, health, diet, lose weight, herbs, warm drink, feel good drink, gezond, lekker, superfood, kruiden thee, zwarte thee, radishtowear

The best tea for wintertime is for sure chai tea latte. You can get it at numerous coffee places or you can purchase it in tea bag form or in a pack. But those last two never quite make the cut, do they? It took me a bit of experimenting, but I think I got the right recipe. Curious? Read on for some more info!

Ever since my coffee detox week I’ve been addicted to this drink. I just can’t get enough of it! For everyone who’s new to this type of drink, let me explain. Brewing black tea and your favorite type of milk with aromatic Indian spices and herbs is what makes this tea. It is for sure the perfect feel-good-drink, whenever you need it. I drink it at least 4 times a week ;).

You need (4 cups)

♥ 1 liter of milk ( I picked soy milk)

♥ 3 pods of cardamom (mush it)

♥ 4 cloves (mushed)

♥ 3 cinnamon sticks

♥ 3 tiny chunk’s of fresh ginger

♥ 3 fresh pepper grains

♥ 4 tsp. black tea

♥ 1/2 vanilla stick

♥ 1 tsp. honey

Extra: you’re going to need a sifter ;).

 How to:

Put the milk into a pan and let it boil. Now put in the cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger, pepper and black tea and cover the pan. Let it boil for about 20 minutes or so. The only thing you have to do next is grab a sifter and pour the home made chai through so no clove will get caught in your teeth while drinking it later on! Enjoy. ♥
